Facing Criminal Charges?

Your Reputation, Finances And Freedom Are On The Line.

Your breath test results may be inaccurate

It may be conjecture, it may be urban legend, but those who are accused of drunk driving (even though they may feel fine) may believe that the machines used to measure their blood alcohol level may be flawed. It certainly is not unheard of. As there are stories from throughout the country about law enforcement agencies inaccurately measuring BACs.

For instance, a number of agencies have come under fire because of the use of Intoxilyzer machines because of how they had been improperly calibrated, which would yield higher than actual results. Unfortunately, this injustice continues to happen.

In many cases, it goes unchallenged. The reasons behind this are varied.  Some people charged either want to get it over with, as they cannot stomach the entire process of filing motions and waiting the amount of time it takes to have challenges heard and processed. Others may feel guilty with being charged, because they may have had a couple drinks and felt as if they were okay to drive.

Whatever the reason, a number of unwitting defendants may be throwing money away in paying fines and having their freedoms forfeited because of faulty test results. These potential calamities are the reasons why those charged with drunk driving in New Jersey should consider enlisting the services of an experienced criminal defense attorney.

A skilled lawyer can research all potential defenses that can help the accused and pursue appropriate avenues in supporting them. If you have questions about your individual situation, contact a lawyer.
