Doctor, others facing serious drug charges in New Jersey

A three-month investigation has led to serious drug charges being filed against six residents of New Jersey, including a local doctor. 

The physician and other individuals are facing drug trafficking charges that stem from an investigation where roughly 1,000 Oxycodone pills, according to local law enforcement. The doctor is being accused of leading the narcotics drug trafficking ring and could face a life sentence in jail if he is convicted.

The other individuals involved in the drug trafficking scheme are facing drug possession and distribution charges. These individuals are facing serious penalties if they are convicted, especially since the investigation led to finding a large amount of pills that would typically only be used for distribution and not for personal use.

These individuals are facing severe penalties. However, the doctor is facing much more serious charges since he is accused of being in charge of the entire drug trafficking operation. Few details were given by the police, but one could assume that the doctor used his privileges to obtain and then sell Oxycodone.
